Volunteers needed to help keep Fort St. John Fall Fair running smoothly

Organizers of the Fort St. John Fall Fair are looking for volunteers to lend a hand during this year’s event, saying even a few hours can make a big difference.

The organizing team is encouraging community members to sign up for volunteer shifts throughout the fair weekend to help ensure events run smoothly and give full-time volunteers an opportunity to take a well-deserved break.

In a Facebook post, organizers said the fair depends on the support of volunteers, with a variety of roles available throughout the weekend.

Whether people can spare a couple of hours or more, organizers say every contribution helps keep the event operating efficiently and creates a better experience for visitors, exhibitors and fellow volunteers.

Community members interested in volunteering are encouraged to register online and help spread the word to friends and family who may also be interested.

Organizers appreciate any amount of time volunteers can give and hope to see strong community support leading up to the annual Fall Fair.

The 79th annual North Peace Fall Fair is set to run from Aug. 14 to 16.

Admission is free for children aged five and under. Tickets are $5 for youth aged six to 16, $10 for adults and $5 for seniors.

Those interested in volunteering can view available positions and register through the fair’s online volunteer sign-up page.
