Pouce Coupe’s Village Office Park reopens after first phase of improvements

Residents in Pouce Coupe can once again enjoy the Village Office Park after the first phase of improvements was completed.

The Village of Pouce Coupe announced the park is now open, marking the completion of the first phase of work aimed at making the space more welcoming for residents and visitors.

The project was supported through a combination of grants, donations and contributions from local businesses, contractors, staff and community members.

Support came from Northern Development Initiative Trust, the B.C. government’s Growing Communities Fund, Northeast Regional Community Foundation, Enbridge, the Peace River Regional District and Pembina Pipeline Corp.

The village said the project was completed without using municipal tax dollars, following direction from council.

As a result, the village said grants and donations were crucial in allowing the improvements to move forward.

While the first phase is now complete, some work remains.

The village said it hopes to continue improving the Village Office Park through a second phase, as well as pursue future opportunities to enhance other parks throughout Pouce Coupe.

Officials thanked the organizations, businesses, contractors, staff and community members who helped bring the project to completion.

The village is encouraging residents to visit the newly reopened park and enjoy the improvements.
