Fort St. John transit routes return to school-year schedule Sept. 6

Fort St. John transit users will see some changes to their daily routes next month as the city and BC Transit prepare to return to the regular school-year schedule.

The changes take effect Sept. 6, as students head back to classrooms for the fall semester.

Route 4 Southeast and Route 5 Southwest, which were put on hold during the summer, will return to regular service.

At the same time, some of the extra trips added to Route 2 Southside and Route 3 Central-Prospect Park during the summer will end.

BC Transit said the changes are intended to reflect shifting ridership patterns as students return to school and transit use returns to typical levels across the city.

Riders are encouraged to check the updated schedules and route information before Sept. 6, particularly if they rely on Routes 2 or 3 for their regular commute.

Updated schedules and route information are available through BC Transit.
