Fort St. John getting ready to move for annual Terry Fox Run

Fort St. John residents are being invited to lace up, grab their families and get moving this weekend in support of cancer research.

The annual Terry Fox Run is set for this Sunday, at Northern Lights College.

The event will follow the city’s walking paths and is open to people of all ages and fitness levels.

Participants can run, walk, jog, bike, scooter or bring a stroller, organizers say there’s no wrong way to take part.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the five- or 10-kilometre run, walk or jog getting underway at 10 a.m.

The event brings the community together to support people living with cancer, survivors and families affected by the disease, while also celebrating community and connection.

More information about Terry Fox and his legacy is available through the Terry Fox Foundation.
