RCMP open arson investigation after fire at Golden Hands Barbershop

Fort St John RCMP are investigating the suspected arson of a local barbershop from this weekend.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, officers received a call from the alarm system of the Golden Hands Barbershop, located on the 9200 block of 100 Street.

When police arrived, they saw a glass break and a suspicious fire inside the shop – after seeing the fire, they requested the Fort St John Fire Department join them at the scene.

The investigation, which will be done with the assistance of the RCMP’s forensic identification services, is in its early stages and ongoing.

As they look into the case, the Mounties asked anyone with information to contact their Fort St John Detachment, or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous.
