UPDATED: Mounties in Fort St John seek wanted man

Fort St John RCMP arrested the wanted man on July 31 and thanked the public for their assistance.

Police in Fort St John are asking for the public’s assistance in finding Steven Louis McPhee, a 56-year-old man wanted on two warrants.

McPhee is described by the Mounties as 5 foot 10 and 170 lbs., Indigenous man with black hair, brown eyes, and scars on the back of his head and right ring finger.

The RCMP said they have two warrants for McPhee – the first is for driving while prohibited, and the second is for failing to comply with an order, specifically relating to identification requirements, such as fingerprints, photographs, or other measures taken to verify an accused individual.

Officers’ investigations are ongoing and anyone with information on McPhee is asked to contact the Fort St John detachment or submit an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers.
