Mounties ask Fort St John residents to be on the look out for a wanted woman

The Fort St John RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating wanted woman, Tanis Patricia Lea-Wellard.

Lea-Wellard is wanted on warrants for theft under $5,000 and criminal harassment, according to the Mounties. 

She is described as 39 years old with brown hair and blue eyes, police also said she is Caucasian, 5 foot 4, and 141 lbs. In the photo provided by the RCMP, Lea-Willard has a tattoo that reads “baby” on her face.  

In 2024, the city of Fort St John saw 304 reports of theft under $5,000, per the Mounties’ annual report.

Anyone with information on Lea-Wellard’s location is asked to contact the Fort St John RCMP detachment, additional information about the pending charges against the woman are not available.
