The BC Wildfire Service will be cross-training with the Moberly Lake Fire Department while conducting a prescribed burn along the Highway 29 right of way, roughly 105 kilometres west of Dawson Creek.
The service said smoke may be visible from Saulteau First Nations, Moberly Lake, and to travelers along Highway 29.
The burn could take place as early as Monday, and may continue through the month depending on suitable conditions, with the goal of reducing wildfire risk.
