Peace Region communities set to celebrate Canada Day

Communities across northeast B.C. are getting ready to celebrate Canada Day with a variety of events, including parades, pancake breakfasts, live entertainment and activities for families.

In Fort St. John, festivities begin on the evening of June 30 at Centennial Park. The celebration will feature a farmers market, food trucks, outdoor movies and a drone light show.

Canada Day events continue July 1 with a pancake breakfast at the Fort St. John Fire Hall, followed by the annual parade along 100 Street. Afterward, celebrations return to Centennial Park, where visitors can enjoy live music, a children’s activity zone and a selection of food vendors.

The North Peace Museum will also open its doors free of charge, with a scavenger hunt and exhibits highlighting the region’s history.
