Extreme Mudfest to bring mega trucks, music and mud to Dawson Creek

Extreme Mudfest will return to Dawson Creek’s Riverside Road in Pouce Coupe – about 20 minutes southeast of the city, this weekend.

The all-ages experience will begin at 9 on Friday morning, when campsites open for attendees. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 1 that afternoon, with the first j-hook run.

That race will be the first of several scheduled to take place over the weekend, mostly involving four wheelers – however, on Saturday morning, racers will be moving on foot while they participate in the mud-run for charity.

On Friday and Saturday evening, country and rock musicians are expected to take the stage in the Mudfest concert bowl.

Merkules and Meghan Patrick are set to headline the first day of the festival, and Finger Eleven will close Saturday’s show. The full schedule and concert line-up for each day is available on their website.

Tickets to the festival range from $52 to $195 and can be purchased as a single day or full weekend passes.

Children under 12 can enter for free – but they must receive a youth wristband. The organizers clarified that children must be accompanied by an adult while they are on festival grounds.
