Mounties in Fort St John are looking for a wanted man

The RCMP in Fort St John are asking for the public’s assistance in finding Ralph Junior Achla, a wanted man.  

Officers said the 43-year-old is known to frequent the city and the Halfway River First Nation, about 113 km northwest of Fort St John.  

According to the Mounties, Achla is wanted on numerous warrants, included uttering threats, obstructing a police officer, two charges of sexual assault, and two cases of operating a motor vehicle while impaired – one charge allegedly included a blood alcohol content above 0.08. 

He is described by police as an Indigenous man who is 5 foot 10 tall, weighs 166 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. 

The Mounties’ investigation is ongoing, and they are asking anyone with information on Achla to contact their detachment in Fort St John – anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
