Active measles cases in Northern Health climb up to eight

There are eight active measles cases in Northern Health, with seven cases being newly reported to the province’s disease control centre.

Northern Health has the provinces only active measles case

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control released an updated report on the number of measles cases, and as of July 21, Northern Health holds the only active case of the disease in B.C.

B.C.’s health officials have said 102 cases of measles have been reported across B.C. so far this year, with most of those in the Northern Health region.
