Update: Missing man located

Update: The 34-year-old man who was reported missing on August 12, 2026 has been located.

RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a 34-year-old man who has been missing since July.

Zachary Lazinchuk was reported missing Aug. 12 after his family lost contact with him on July 22.

Lazinchuk had been working on a farm in Saddle Hills, Alta., and told his family he intended to return home. Police have not confirmed whether he remained in Alberta or travelled to B.C.

His friends and family say it is out of character for him to be out of contact for this long. Police are concerned for his health and well-being.

Lazinchuk is described as a 34-year-old white man, six-foot-two, or 188 centimetres, tall and weighing about 229 pounds, or 104 kilograms. He has a shaved head and hazel eyes.

Police said he is associated with a green 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab with an aluminum flat deck and B.C. licence plate 01574A.

Anyone with information about Lazinchuk’s whereabouts is asked to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
