Student rodeo athletes set to take over Dawson Creek this weekend

The next generation of rodeo athletes will be showing off their skills in Dawson Creek this weekend as Northern Lights College hosts its 2026 Fall Rodeo.

The two-day event gets underway Saturday at the Lakota Agriplex, bringing student-athletes together to compete in a variety of rodeo events as part of the college rodeo circuit.

Saturday’s competition begins with slack from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., before the main performance takes over the arena from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The action continues Sunday with a performance running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organizers are encouraging residents to come out throughout the weekend to cheer on the competitors and support the college rodeo program.

Tickets are $10 for students and are available at the door.

The Lakota Agriplex is located along Highway 2 south of Dawson Creek.
