South Peace River real estate market sees softer sales but remains balanced

The South Peace River real estate market recorded slower sales activity in April compared with a year earlier, though overall conditions remained balanced, the Association of Interior REALTORS said.

There were 27 residential unit sales in the region last month, a decrease of 30.8 per cent compared with April 2025 and up slightly from 26 in March.

New listings fell 41.5 per cent year over year, with 48 recorded in April. Active listings also declined, down 20.8 per cent from a year earlier to 168.

The average price for single-family homes rose 6.9 per cent compared with the same month last year to $323,724. The average price for mobile homes dropped 41.5 per cent to $155,000, while the average condominium price was $134,000.

“The South Peace River market saw somewhat softer activity compared to last year; however, short term volatility is not uncharacteristic in smaller regional markets. When viewed on a seasonally adjusted basis, conditions remain relatively flat, with the market continuing to exhibit balanced fundamentals,” said Association of Interior REALTORS President Ryan Mayne.
