Two people arrested after Fort St. John RCMP execute three search warrants linked to targeted violence

Fort St. John RCMP has executed three search warrants connected to an ongoing investigation into targeted violence linked to organized crime.

Police say the investigation, led by the Serious Crime Unit, has been underway since August 2025.

The Serious Crime Unit received assistance from the Street Enforcement Team, North District RCMP and frontline officers.

Police say four firearms were seized during the operation. At one location, officers also recovered more than 1.3 kilograms of illicit drugs.

Sgt. Ian Rissanen, commander of the Plainclothes Unit, said organized crime-related activity will not be tolerated in the community.

“Persons involved in the trade of illicit drugs, illegally trafficked and possessed firearms, and other criminality that follows organized crime, have no place in our community,” Rissanen said.

“Our specialized enforcement teams will continue our campaign against crime groups to ensure public safety is upheld.”

RCMP said the two individuals arrested were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The Crown is reviewing the matter, and the investigation remains ongoing.
