Taylor Bridge maintenance work expected to cause overnight traffic delays

Drivers travelling across the Taylor Bridge should expect delays Thursday evening as Dawson Road Maintenance carries out scheduled maintenance work.

The work is set to take place Thursday from 7 p.m. until 3:30 a.m. During that time, traffic on the bridge will be reduced to a single lane and controlled using a pilot vehicle.

Motorists are advised to expect delays while crews complete the maintenance.

Oversized and overweight loads wider than 3.85 metres (12.6 feet) will not be able to cross the bridge during the maintenance window. Those vehicles will need to wait until after 3:30 a.m. once the work is complete.

Dawson Road Maintenance is encouraging commercial carriers and other stakeholders to plan their travel around the scheduled work period to avoid extended delays.
