Residents in Hudson’s Hope will have to wait a few more days for emergency department services to return to the local health centre.
According to Northern Health’s Emergency Department Status page, the temporary closure is expected to remain in place until Monday, Nov. 2, when the ER is scheduled to reopen at 8:30 a.m.
The latest interruption follows another temporary closure on Oct. 13.
In a statement, Northern Health said the current service disruption is due to “previously outlined staffing challenges.”
The Hudson’s Hope Health Centre is normally open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, excluding weekends and statutory holidays.
During the closure, Northern Health is reminding residents to call 911 if they experience a life-threatening emergency, including chest pain, difficulty breathing or severe bleeding. Emergency responders can arrange transport to the nearest available hospital.
Residents can check Northern Health’s Emergency Department Status page for the latest updates.
