Taylor to hold annual Remembrance Day ceremony next week

Residents of Taylor will have an opportunity to come together next week to honour Canada’s veterans and remember those who lost their lives in service.

The District of Taylor’s annual Remembrance Day ceremony is set for Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Taylor Community Hall.

The service will include a Colour Guard march, guest speakers and a moment of reflection to recognize the sacrifices made by Canadian service members.

Following the ceremony, attendees are welcome to stay for a light lunch.

Organizers are also looking for people interested in speaking during the service and sharing a few words of remembrance. Those who would like to take part are encouraged to get in touch with the Community Services Hub.

Community members who wish to place a wreath can arrange an order through the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion or the Community Services Hub.

All wreaths must be delivered to the Community Services Hub by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10.

For more information about the ceremony or wreath orders, contact the Taylor Community Services Hub at 250-789-2828.
